Voter Registration Working Group

We need to register voters. Even though we have a million surplus of voters registered in the Democratic Party in NJ, we can’t rest because we know that there are problems with the State Voter Registration System. In working with the data, we know that the number of active registered Dems is smaller than what is reported on NJ Division of Elections. Research Team

The work is done remotely in your own time. For example, one key project is contacting the county to find out how many voters got the Cure Letter and Cure Form in the 2021 General Election, how many returned their Cure Form and their votes counted, how many did not. This information is not provided to the state so we must find out on our own how effect the Ballot Cure Act was. There will be other projects and you can choose what works for you.

Do you have expertise to help with ….

• We will refine our VBM info sheet that we will mail to convert people to Vote By Mail. We need people who are experienced at writing to consumers (think brands).

• We will create Civic Participation Kits for high school students so we need writers, researchers, editors, graphic designers of images to make voting not a complete chore!

• We will house this info on a website so we need people familiar with Wordpress.

What to expect:

“Organizing” can look messy and nonlinear. Most people just want “Ok, tell/show/give me what I need to do.” But the work is everything else that comes before that and many people have entrusted me and my ability to plan, strategize, and lead. However, the work cannot be done without the help of do-er’s and donors. Do one or both.
