Recently US Senator Elizabeth Warren attacked Elon Musk on social media for being a “freeloader” and demanded Time’s Person of the Year pay more in taxes…

Attacking Elon Musk on social media isn’t a wise move.

Elon replied, “And if you opened your eyes for 2 seconds, you would realize I will pay more taxes than any American in history this year.”.

He then added, “Don’t spend it all at once … oh wait you did already”.

Elon Musk is paying over 10 billion dollars in taxes for 2021; the final amount will almost certainly be more than any other individual American has paid in one year during the history of the United States. But that’s not enough for Elizabeth Warren.

Warren is trying to push a “Wealth Tax” through Congress that would empower the IRS to tax an individual’s “net worth” – property, financial assets, business interests, you name it.

This “Wealth Tax” is allegedly only for the mega rich… but we all know how that works. Remember the Alternative Minimum Tax?

Once the tax is enacted, somehow middle class Americans eventually end up sharing in the pain. After all, Warren’s plan would boost the IRS’s budget by $100 billion. The tax agency will not – I repeat not – use all that money to go after only the wealthy.

Joe Biden has DESPERATELY been trying to pass his $2 Trillion “Build Back Better” spending bill. NTU took to the airwaves, sponsored phone banks, created digital advertising, and directly visited with Capitol Hill staff to persuade lawmakers to vote NO on this legislative ticket to bankruptcy.

Recently the bill stalled, with Senator Joe Manchin deciding NOT to support the bill… Now Biden must go back to the drawing board entirely! We need to be prepared for Round 2.

Another example: The IRS recently tried to add a new rule empowering them to monitor bank accounts with a balance exceeding $600 to “identify tax fraud.” This is a gross abuse of power and a violation of your 4th Amendment rights.

NTU is educating Hill staff about this rule change and the IRS is already backing off. Now the alleged number is $10,000… But we’re not done fighting this yet.
