For over four years, I have been fighting against one of the largest law firms in America with offices in San Francisco, New York, Washington, DC, and several foreign countries, and another associate firm in Birmingham, Alabama. A woman I had never met and do not know claims to have waited 40 years to make false allegations of sexual misconduct against me only 32 days before the 2017 US Senate election in Alabama.

Of course, she is being represented “pro bono“ (i.e. without charge) while I have been left to contend with exorbitant costs and enormous attorneys' fees for merely denying her false allegations. Welcome to American politics!

I successfully passed a polygraph examination while she refuses to take one. Nevertheless, such tests are not admissible in court unless both parties agree, and of course, she will not agree.

The judge refused to recuse (i.e. properly remove himself from the case) although he contributed monies to my opponent on two occasions “after” the false allegations were made, and his wife made derogatory comments about me on Facebook during the 2017 election. The court also denied our motion to transfer the case to a proper venue in Etowah County which makes our case more difficult.

Enough bad news. The good news is that the case is set for jury trial on January 24, 2022. Finally, my defense team will put my accuser on the stand and cross-examine her egregious allegations made against me at the height of my 2017 Senate run.
