We had a really fantastic month to kick off 2022!

Firstly, thank you so much to everyone who signed my birthday card earlier this month! It meant so much to receive warm wishes from you all.

I’m proud to say that it’s been one of our best months for the campaign so far. We received major endorsements including the Next 50, former Pinecrest Mayor Cindy Lerner, and former Miami-Dade County Commissioner Katy Sorenson.

We’ve been working hard with local advocacy groups to listen to the concerns and issues affecting our community. My daughter and I joined local community members in removing ninety-two pounds of trash from Biscayne Bay, and I can’t tell you how proud of her I am. To honor Martin Luther King Jr. we volunteered with Branches Florida and created a vegetable garden for South Miami youth. We’ve redoubled our efforts to engage with our community, and I’m thankful for everyone who has given us feedback and offered to join our cause. Getting to know all of you has been my favorite part of campaigning so far!

With the end of the month around the corner, we still need to check one final thing off our January to-do list: meet our end-of-month fundraising goal.
