Early voting is under way and I would be honored to have your vote for County Criminal Court 9.
Unlike my opponents, I have run a clean campaign focusing on the what I have to offer as your next CCC9 Judge.
In the post-COVID world in which we live, it is imperative that we elect judges that can work through their docket starting on day one. I am that candidate. One of my opponents is a family lawyer and doesn't practice criminal law at all. You wouldn't choose a heart surgeon to perform brain surgery, so why would you elect a family lawyer to a criminal law bench? Another opponent has applied to be the judge of 3 other courts and is treating County Criminal Court 9 as a fall back position. He was passed over by the Governor 3 times: for 2 felony criminal courts (the 213th and the 485th District Courts) and a civil court (the 48th District Court). He was also overwhelmingly rejected by the Tarrant County GOP Precinct Chairs just last month (485th District Court). He wants to be a judge so bad that he doesn't care what kind of court it is.
County Criminal Court 9 is a misdemeanor criminal court. That's the exact kind of law I have practiced for nearly 20 years and I'll be ready to go the day I'm sworn in.
