I know what it’s like when Communism destroys your country.

When I was four years old, my family narrowly escaped the Communist takeover of South Vietnam. Saigon fell just ten days later.

I arrived in America as a refugee, a boy without a country. To me, America has always been the bright, shining beacon of freedom in the world.

I cannot express to you how proud and thankful I am to be an American.

I dedicated my life to the defense of this country and the freedom we hold so dear.

I served the whole world over on missions as a Navy Special Operations Officer. I fought in combat operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia.

I saw the worst of humanity in our enemies; but I also saw the best our country had to offer in the character of my fellow Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen.

Throughout my entire time as an American and a Naval Officer, I always thought we could rely on our Commander in Chief to lead us to victory - until I saw what happened in Afghanistan under Joe Biden.

I have five close friends who are being kicked out of the Navy for refusing the Covid-19 vaccine. These are Special Projects saturation divers, SEAL Team 6 operators, and world class pilots who have given their entire lives in defense of this Republic.

Now, because of a vaccine for a virus against which they already have natural immunity, they are discarded like yesterday's trash. Some will not receive their benefits after years of service to our country. This is wrong and no way to thank our men and women for their service.

I knew I had to take action, and that’s why I’m running for Congress in Virginia’s 10th district.
