As a proud Cuban-American lesbian, I'm honored to be endorsed by an organization that elevates Hispanic LGBTQ+ candidates focused on giving our community a voice in government.
As we speak, a bill, widely known as the "Don't Say Gay" bill, is moving through the Florida Legislature to ban discussion of the LGBTQ+ community in our schools. I know from firsthand experience how harmful the impacts of this bill will be because I was once a scared student who first came out to my 8th grade teacher.
I appeared on CNN en Español with my wife, Monica, earlier this week to discuss our experience and explain why I'm so opposed to the "Don't Say Gay" bill. When I’m elected your Senator, I’ll fight against harmful bills like this one and work every day to increase our representation.
