Hey there, John, it's Amanda – Abby's campaign manager. Abby and I are about to head into our appeal before the Iowa Supreme Court to fight these Republican attempts to kick Abby off the ballot.

Last week, after the bipartisan panel rejected a Republican challenge trying to kick Abby off the ballot, the GOP filed a lawsuit against our campaign in another desperate attempt to take her out of the race. Even though this lawsuit is total B.S., a state judge sided with the Republicans – meaning we've been forced to continue defending our campaign and spend critical resources on costly legal fees, including at the Iowa Supreme Court today.

Our team is fighting back, and we're going to keep on fighting as hard as we can until we defeat Grassley on Election Day – but we can't keep up this fight without you by our side. This is about so much more than keeping Abby's name on the ballot. This is about the Republican Party and their corporate megadonors undermining democracy in Iowa. Abby is a serious candidate with a powerful grassroots backing right here on the ground. She's met with hundreds of voters all across this state, supporters from all 99 counties have chipped in to fight for our democracy.

Folks here in Iowa have made it clear: after seven terms with Grassley – who is facing RECORD-LOW approval with Iowans – we want the opportunity to choose new leadership. Grassley and the GOP are trying to take that choice away from us, and it's painfully obvious why.

They know that grassroots movements like ours have the power to take out even the most entrenched incumbents. They've seen the polling data that showed nearly two-thirds of likely Iowa voters DO NOT want to reelect Grassley. Instead of challenging Abby head-on and making their case to voters, however, they've launched a desperate legal scheme to avoid facing her at the ballot box.
