I am sure you've heard campaigns talk about filing deadlines a lot. They are often used both internally and by others to judge the strength of a campaign. 

I've always known I was going to have to run my campaign differently and tonight's deadline is no exception. 

Since day 1, I've said the strength of our campaign comes from the number of dedicated supporters I have. So I'm focused today not on how much we raise, but on how many contributions we bring in. 

That's why I am writing to you. Please take a moment to give literally any amount. I just want to see how many names we can have on our list of donors for today.

With a big deadline looming most politicians lock themselves away to beg for money. Y'all know I do it a bit differently. So I told my campaign to schedule me to go to Toledo and get in front of voters. 

I am emailing you during a pit stop on the road.

I am able to get out of the office and in front of voters because I know you have my back. Now is the time to let the world know, you got me, and to put names to our movement.
