John – Yesterday, at the Iowa Supreme Court, my campaign appealed a judge's decision siding with the GOP establishment's desperate and meritless attempt to remove me from the ballot.

This partisan ruling from Sunday night was nothing but a gift to Washington Republicans and a mockery of our democracy: it invalidated petition signatures that have minor errors in the associated date, but Iowa law does not state that errors like this are cause for removing signatures. That's why we fought back in Iowa's highest court.

I want to make one thing crystal clear here and now: I promise you that no matter what the GOP throws at our campaign, I will never, ever stop fighting for Iowan families. I refuse to give Chuck Grassley a free pass at the ballot box – and I refuse to let national Republicans' anti-democratic attacks say who is and isn't on the ballot.

So right now, I've never needed your grassroots support more. Please can you chip in $5 or whatever you can spare to help me fight these GOP attacks and defeat Sen. Grassley?

For a judge to side with the GOP is blatantly partisan and undermines the fact that this campaign has met every single ballot requirement, as the Secretary of State's Office and the bipartisan State Objections Panel have already affirmed. It's also a slap in the face to the more than 5,000 Iowans who said they wanted a chance to vote for our campaign!

Make no mistake: The GOP establishment is launching an all-out assault on our democracy – and it's no secret why.

You see, the GOP is absolutely terrified of our campaign. They've seen the polling numbers showing that Sen. Grassley is facing record-low approval ratings. They've seen the data that showed only 27% of likely voters want to reelect him to an eighth term. But more than anything else, they've seen the unprecedented grassroots enthusiasm on the ground for our campaign.

The GOP knows that Sen. Grassley is vulnerable and that if we win here, Democrats will be virtually guaranteed to maintain our Senate majority. We can defeat the GOP's bogus lawsuit, and we can defeat Sen. Grassley at the polls, but only if people like you stand with us following this crucial hearing at the Iowa Supreme Court.

That's why I have to ask: Can you rush $5 right here and now to help me fight these GOP attacks? Every single dollar will help us secure our place on the ballot and flip this seat blue on Election Day.
