Dear Friends,
Tomorrow is Earth Day! Teachers and their classes are invited to join us virtually on Friday, April 22, at 1:00pm EST to discuss sustainability, climate change, and what it means to be climate-conscious in the USA and Germany.
This Sunday, German artist Mischa Kuball will join Hirshhorn assistant curator Betsy Johnson for a discussion of Kuball's work. Kuball - whose work examines relationships between public sites and their surrounding communities and contexts - stages architectural interventions that raise questions about how the very notion of a "public" is constituted.
Next Wednesday, join us in our space for a screening of the documentary Vita Activa: The Spirit of Hannah Arendt, followed by a conversation with Arendt scholar and writer Samantha Rose Hill. Hill also moderates Hannah Arendt: Between Worlds, a podcast that explores topics of solitude, peace, privacy, freedom, and more.
