Dear John
Greetings from the California Policy Center!
Thanksgiving brings with it plenty of turkey, football, and family get togethers. But it also means that #GivingTuesday, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, is right around the corner! And with it brings the opportunity to support the causes that you are passionate about. We hope you’ll think of CPC this #GivingTuesday and the work we are doing to bring freedom back to our home state.
And I’m pleased to report that this was a record-breaking year in CPC’s fight for worker freedom. Building on last year’s landmark Supreme Court decision of Janus vs. AFSCME, CPC is now reaching new heights liberating California workers and politics from the stranglehold of union influence. We now have an opportunity to end the corrupt influence of government unions in California!
This past year alone, California witnessed a 12% drop in government union membership, including agency fee payers—this amounts to a $162 million loss in annual revenue for government unions!
CPC is achieving substantive victories for all Californians. But we’re up against a powerful opponent, and the fight is far from over. That’s why it’s so important that we continue support workers in their fight for freedom against the extremely powerful government unions.
With #GivingTuesday, you have a chance to join with Californians across our state to free more workers—and reduce the power of union leaders over California’s government and economy.
For every $52 you give, we are able to help one worker leave their union. For $52, a hardworking teacher or firefighter will get to keep up to $1,000 more, and the union leaders will have up to $1,000 less to spend on politics that harm California!
To meet our goal of helping 100 workers, this year we need to raise $5,200 on Giving Tuesday!
Your partnership is vital to liberate citizens from the clutches of public-sector unions. Will you give on Giving Tuesday – or today if you think you’ll forget next week! – to help us reach our $5200 goal? Your gift of $5, $10, $25, $50 or $100 will go a long way. Every contribution makes a difference.
Happy Turkey Day!
