John,

When I first launched this campaign for Iowa's U.S. Senate seat, I told you that nobody will work harder than I will to defeat Sen. Chuck Grassley and give Iowa’s working families a voice in Washington. I'm someone who remains true to my word, and I have every intention of winning this race.

Unfortunately, the fact of the matter is that Iowa's Senate race was one of the most expensive in the country last time around. And this time, with Senate control on the line, the GOP Senate campaign already has a war chest of $44 million to tap into. We need to be prepared for them to spend heavily to protect their seven-term incumbent, Sen. Chuck Grassley.

But here's what I know, John. Iowans are ready for change. I hear it when I'm out on the campaign trail every day. The people of our state are sick and tired of a senator who turns his back on our interests and on our democracy. It's probably no surprise then that a Des Moines Register poll reported only 27% of Iowans want to reelect Sen. Grassley.

This is our moment. We can flip Iowa blue and protect our Democratic Senate majority, but only if we have the resources it takes to compete. That's why I need to raise $75,000 before the biggest FEC reporting deadline of our campaign – every dollar from grassroots supporters like you. This is what it will take to win, John, so can I count on your donation?

Please, rush a gift of $5 or more now – whatever you can spare to help us close in on this fundraising goal – so we can defeat Sen. Chuck Grassley in Iowa and expand our majority in the Senate.

Thank you so much.

Abby
