Folks,

The murder in Buffalo was terrorism against black Americans by a lone gunman. But he was not alone.

Merchants of hate and division — on TV and in elected office — have used sugar-coated words laced with poison to promote white nationalism and gain power. Their words became his actions.

This must stop. 10 Americans are dead. 10 families lost a loved one forever. Millions more are afraid to live their lives. It’s heartbreaking.

The broken politics that dominates cable news and social media is tearing our country apart and inspiring violence in our communities.

We desperately need principled leaders who speak the truth, denounce racism, and work to bring people together to solve our problems — not irresponsible TV politicians who abide hate and legitimize radical ideologies in pursuit of political power.
