Tomorrow is election day.
Tomorrow, we have the chance to
usher in a new slate of elected leaders that unquestionably stand with
renters, have prioritized housing justice, and are ready to represent
the interests of Black and Brown, working class families, immigrants
and young people.

This June, we’ve got state
representatives, mayors, city council members, district attorneys, and
more on the ballot. And when we vote together, we can usher in a new
government that unquestionably protects renters and homeowners from
the economic fallout of COVID, and stop evictions and foreclosures. We
can swear in leaders that pledge not to take money from corporations,
big real estate or corporate landlords. We can reclaim the money
that’s ours from the billionaire class and invest it in people and the
services we need to live dignified, safe and healthy lives. When we
vote together, we can provide secure and sustainable income for all,
house the unsheltered, give our kids the quality schools they deserve,
create free universal healthcare, and so much more.

Mañana es día de elecciones.
Mañana, tenemos la oportunidad de
marcar el comienzo de una nueva lista de líderes electos que, sin
duda, apoyan a los inquilinos, han priorizado la justicia en la
vivienda y están listos para representar los intereses de los negros y
latinos, las familias de clase trabajadora, los inmigrantes. y
jóvenes.

Mañana, tenemos representantes
estatales, alcaldes, concejales, fiscales de distrito y más en la
boleta electoral. Y cuando votamos juntos, podemos marcar el comienzo
de un nuevo gobierno que, sin duda, protege a los inquilinos y
propietarios de viviendas de las consecuencias económicas de COVID y
detiene los desalojos y las ejecuciones hipotecarias. Podemos jurar a
los líderes que se comprometan a no aceptar dinero de corporaciones,
grandes bienes raíces o propietarios corporativos. Podemos reclamar el
dinero que es nuestro de la clase multimillonaria e invertirlo en las
personas y los servicios que necesitamos para vivir vidas dignas,
seguras y saludables. Cuando votamos juntos, podemos proporcionar
ingresos seguros y sostenibles para todos, albergar a los
desamparados, brindarles a nuestros hijos las escuelas de calidad que
se merecen, crear atención médica universal gratuita y mucho
más.
