When we launched our campaign against Sean Patrick Maloney last month, we truly weren't sure what to expect.

Would the progressive movement's energy be with us right from the jump, or would things start off slow? Would we be able to raise the kind of money necessary to run a winning campaign against the corporate establishment and their deep pockets?

We didn't know for sure.

But then, just after Alessandra's announcement, Tim in Manhattan kicked us off with a $3 contribution, the first of our new race. Then came Tina in Peekskill with $25 more. And we were off…

Since then, people from every corner of our district and across the entire country have chipped in to stand with Alessandra, because our movement understands that we need progressive leaders in Congress who will stand up and fight for ALL of us.

We're funding this grassroots campaign the right way — together. And tonight's official FEC deadline represents our biggest challenge yet.

After it ends, we have some critical budget decisions to make about where to invest between now and Election Day to make sure we can contact as many voters as possible. That takes resources, and it means we have to ask:

Can Alessandra count on you to make a contribution — of anything you can — ahead of tonight's end-of-quarter FEC fundraising deadline? Every cent will go toward putting this campaign in a position to win.
