I had to make a very difficult decision during our team budget meeting yesterday afternoon.

It's become clear that in order to keep reaching out to voters across NY-17 and build our coalition of supporters, we need to drastically scale up our investments in digital advertising and organizing.

See, when people hear Alessandra's story, they overwhelmingly support her and our campaign for Congress.

The problem is that reaching the number of voters needed in order to win takes a lot of resources. And with just 41 days to go until Election Day, we're running out of time to lock in these spending decisions for the home stretch of the campaign.

The money wasn't in our July budget — but I gave the green light anyway.

Now, I'm not usually the type to spend money we don't have.

But I made a bet that if I asked, our movement of grassroots supporters would understand the stakes of this decision and step up to help us fill the gap. For AB, for our staff and volunteers, and for everyone who believes that it's time we had a representative in Congress who's ready to fight for the kind of government we all deserve.
