It's not JUST the roads we're fixing here in Brandon. This year, I was PROUD to bring home $18 MILLION for Hillsborough Community College's Brandon Campus! This was one of the largest member projects passed by any member, of any party.

My e-mail announcing the project along with details is below, but in essence this project will be the first update the 40-year campus has ever received. We talk about making college more affordable, teaching technical skills, and investing in our kids... I deliverd.

We've got more work to do, we've got crumbling infrastructure everywhere I look. But that's why we need to WIN in November. For 40-years our campus was neglected, now because of your support, we were able to get this done, together.

Help send me back to Tallahassee so we can do even more over these next two years:

After all, we're still just getting started.

Hillsborough Community College’s Brandon Campus is a gem in our community. It trains thousands locally to fill critically needed healthcare positions, mechanics and equipment operators, and first responders like police, EMT, and firefighters.

More than 62% of it’s student population is non-white, has a HUGE population of military and Veteran students, and it simply educates our students more economically than many state universities do. This is a value-add for our community for pennies on the dollar.

Still, it does require maintenance and the campus has long been neglected by the state. Leaks, crumbling concrete, and broken equipment tells the tale that the 37-year-old campus needs a little upkeep.

HB4351 would catch up on deferred maintenance so HCC Brandon can continue to shine for the next 25-years.
