With September kicking off at full speed this week, things are already heating up quickly. We’re exactly 60 days out from the midterm elections, and it’s urgent that we regain some of the grassroots momentum that we inevitably lost over the summer months.

GOP candidates across the country are garnering major support by parroting Trump ideology and inciting far-right extremism, cushioned by financial support from millionaires and corporate super PACs.

If Democrats want a shot at winning key seats in November, we need to refresh our strategy because the status quo is simply not enough. We can no longer rely on mainstay establishment politicians to run the same stale campaigns with mediocre results.

The American people are burnt out. We're tired of putting our faith into representatives who don't actually represent us. What we need right now is real working-class leaders who will inspire us and truly be our voice. We need bold changemakers who will give regular, everyday people hope and energize Democratic voters enough to get them to the polls.

But the current system is inherently designed to favor the elite and to perpetuate the socioeconomic barriers that keep working-class folks out of office. And so the toxic cycle of inaction and out-of-touch leadership continues.
