until the general election, we’re focusing all of our efforts on getting bold working-class Democrats elected because we know that’s our best chance at defeating far-right Republicans in November.
As Democrats, we desperately need to revisit our playbook. The status quo hasn’t been working for regular people, and despite some historic blue wins in recent years, Americans are still struggling and hungry for change.
And that’s exactly what the GOP is going to use to motivate voters and turn them against us — blaming Democrats for inaction and scapegoating the “liberal” agenda as the cause for the country’s problems.
While we know that’s not true, we do know that Dems need to go bigger and go harder than we’ve been. Our B/E candidates are the bold changemakers who will achieve meaningful progress for working-class folks because they understand the daily challenges that we face, and we can trust them to go to bat for us. They have the courage to demand better for working families and everyday people, and they won't back down.
But without enough grassroots support, our candidates don’t stand a chance at keeping up with the MAGA billionaires and GOP dark money that’s pouring into all of the Trump-endorsed Republicans across the country. Our working-class B/E candidates are counting on us to help them build winning people-powered campaigns because they lack the advantages that the wealthy, elite politicians have at their fingertips.
