Over the next week or so, my team and I are going to be reaching out to ask for your support ahead of the FEC fundraising deadline on Friday, September 30.

But before we do, I wanted to give you an explanation about why these deadlines — and particularly this next one — are so important.

4 times each year, the Federal Election Commission requires candidates for federal office to publicly report information about their fundraising. The end of this month is one of those times.

Every single candidate, from the House of Representatives all the way to President Biden is required to file these reports, detailing how much money they’ve raised and from which sources.

And this is the last quarterly FEC deadline before Election Day. That means that these are the numbers we and our opponents will be referencing when we make our final GOTV plans for November.
