What a difference we’ve made for this young lion! But our lifesaving work doesn’t stop here…

Dear John

Wow! Just look how YOU have transformed Simba’s world… it’s hard to believe these photos are of the same lion, isn’t it?

Having suffered the most appalling start to life, Simba is now safe at his forever home, in Italy, where he’s thriving thanks to specialist, loving care and YOUR generous donations. Your support for our Build Simba a Home appeal ( [link removed] ) has been astonishing, and we’re well on our way to being able to build his permanent, purpose built, 5000m2 enclosure! Filled with natural vegetation, Simba’s new home will be designed to fully meet his needs and large enough to allow him to find privacy, if he chooses, just like lions in the wild.

Simba is now safe, but still desperately needs your generous help to finish his purpose build enclosure and to provide the expert care this young cub will need. As you know, our work to protect lions like Simba, never stops...

WILL YOU HELP CARE FOR SIMBA WITH A GIFT TODAY? ( [link removed] )

During our Year of the Lion ( [link removed] ), our mission to rescue and care for precious big cats has never been more important, and we are striving to tackle the root causes of suffering and cruelty, whilst protecting wild lions and their precious habitats.

For example, in Meru National Park – Born Free’s heartland in Kenya, where Elsa the lioness was returned to the wild by Joy and George Adamson -  we are pleased to report the birth of new cubs in the Mulika Pride. You gift today will also help keep them safe... ( [link removed] )

Our team are monitoring the three little lionesses, born to Kanini and sired by the magnificent male Mfalme. Since the cubs are all female, pride numbers are expected to gradually increase, as female cubs remain in their family group, while subadult males leave to find their own pride.

With your support, Born Free is devoted to wild lion conservation, working to end activities that exploit and negatively impact them whether in captivity or in the wild, and providing lifetime care for rescued lions like Simba.

By supporting Born Free, you will help us continue this vital work.

With love and gratitude from the whole Born Free team.

Ps. Your kind gift today ( [link removed] ) will enable us to finish building Simba’s purpose-built enclosure giving him the life he truly deserves.
