Hi John, it's Tom. I'll get right to it: In Wisconsin, Mandela Barnes is running against Ron Johnson – the most vulnerable incumbent Republican senator in the country. The latest polls show that this race is in a statistical tie, and with our Democratic majority hanging on by a single seat, Senate control could come down to Wisconsin.

It's up to each of us to do everything that we can to support Mandela Barnes and defeat Ron Johnson this fall. That's why I'm emailing you today: Please, will you join me in standing with Mandela by splitting a grassroots donation between our campaigns? We'll only be able to defeat Ron Johnson's far-right megadonors if we see a surge in grassroots support during these final few weeks.

Ron Johnson’s approval rating has been underwater for a while now – and it's no wonder why. He's spent his time in the Senate pushing a far-right agenda that's totally out of step with Wisconsin values. If we let him stay in the Senate, Ron Johnson will continue to be a rubber stamp for McConnell's political games. He'll vote against legislation to help families make ends meet, against bills to allow people to be fully in control of their bodies, and against attempts to combat climate change.

But unlike Ron Johnson, I trust that Mandela Barnes will be an incredible colleague and partner in the Senate. I know that Wisconsinites can count on him to advocate for families instead of corporations, to do the hard, messy work of legislating, and to build powerful coalitions that'll move our country forward.

This fall, we have to vote out every last politician who is more interested in promoting themselves instead of the families who are counting on them. That starts in Wisconsin.

Look, I know we have asked a lot of Democratic activists like you, but we only have a few weeks between now and the election. To win in Wisconsin and across the country, every single one of us has to give it our all until November 8th.
