It seems like just yesterday that I was persuaded to throw my hat in the ring to run for U.S Senate. Over the last year, I have campaigned in every county of the state - often having three or four speaking events a day.
I have campaigned non-stop because I believe that millions of Californians do not like the direction that this nation is going. The woke progressive agenda does not represent everyday Californians. Joe Biden constantly putting the desires of special interest above the needs of working families is causing voters around this state to reevaluate who they are voting for this year.
Tomorrow is a major fundraising deadline as we are required to report how much money you have contributed. Let me cut to the chase, while we had a great fundraising month in August, we have not done as well in September. The skyrocketing inflation and gas prices have resulted in 71% of Californians not being able to pay their monthly bills. Since my campaign has been one of the nation's leading grassroots-funded campaigns, this has killed the small-dollar contributions that fund our voter outreach programs.
The current state of the economy has opened the way for us to make California competitive again ... but it also means that there are not as many grassroot donors who can make a financial contribution to the campaign. I hate to ask because my supporters have been so generous with their contributions over the last year, but we are 40 days from the election and we need to ensure that we reach as many of these four million persuadable voters as possible so that you can have a Republican Senator representing you in the U.S. Senate.
