Can you believe we have just over a month until Arkansans decide the next governor of our state?

It’s about time we elect a leader who will launch our state into a new dimension of hope and opportunity. I see only one candidate in this race committed to making that happen, and it’s the one writing you this email.

The election seemed light-years away when we launched our campaign in June of last year. We knew we’d have to build our grassroots movement into the kind of force that wouldn’t just help us win this election in Arkansas, but one that would change the conversation about how to win these kinds of elections nationwide. With just 17 months between our launch and the election, there were plenty who didn’t think we’d have enough time to make our goals a reality. But like I said in our campaign’s launch video, as a physicist, I know firsthand just how relative time can be. And within this past year, we’ve achieved so much together — from energizing town halls to meaningful conversations on our neighbors’ doorsteps.

The message Sarah Huckabee Sanders is sending — one of fear and division — is frankly lazy and dishonest. The kind of politics our campaign represents — of fusing together — is far more difficult to achieve, but that’s also what makes it far more powerful.

Arkansas deserves a governor who will bond us, not continue breaking us apart.
