Last night, tragedy struck Raleigh – five people, including an off-duty police officer, were killed and multiple others were injured in the shooting. This is a sad day for North Carolina. I ask that you join Jo and me in praying for the victims, their families, and our brave law enforcement officers and first responders.

Prices Continue Rising
When I talk to people throughout the 9th district, one of the most common things I hear is just how expensive everything is now, from groceries to gas to clothing. However, Democrats in Washington refuse to acknowledge this economic crisis and continue making things worse.

After two years of Democrats’ reckless spending and inflationary policies, Americans are feeling the financial pain of these decisions. Thursday’s inflation report showed what Americans already know to be true – that prices are on the rise and show no signs of slowing down. This month saw the highest reported increase in inflation since 1982, yet Biden’s Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen insists that the U.S. economy is “doing very well.”
Groceries, gas, heating, and travel costs are all through the roof, and many are being forced to spend excess savings.

The Washington Swamp is telling you not to believe your lying eyes or your empty wallet. It’s clear though that these policies are making the economic pain worse. I will stand against business as usual here in Washington and will oppose any further reckless spending bills.
FBI Used Taxpayer Money to Fabricate Allegations
Another week, another bombshell story about FBI corruption. According to testimony from FBI analyst Brian Auten, the FBI offered $1 million to authenticate the infamous Steele Dossier’s allegations. This testimony comes after numerous whistleblowers came forward to expose corrupt practices within the FBI.
Brian Auten’s testimony only confirms many Americans’ suspicions. The FBI clearly knew that the Steele Dossier was fake, but the Swamp put its obsession with taking down President Trump over the truth. One thing is clear, Republicans must do everything in our power to rein in the FBI’s ever-increasing corruption and partisan attacks.
