John,
On October 4th, Alaska held its first debate of the midterm election in Kodiak, AK. This debate is called the Fish debate and it has played a critical part of Alaska’s politics for over 30 years. Fishing isn’t just a part of life in Alaska, it’s a way of life.
Senator Lisa Murkowski was excited to participate in this debate; answering tough questions and highlighting her strong record of delivering results for our fisherman and coastal communities.
On the other hand, Lisa’s partisan opponent was a no-show due to a “scheduling conflict.” That scheduling conflict? An out-of-state high dollar fundraiser.
Alaskans deserve a Senator that shows up and faces the tough questions head-on. Lisa Murkowski will always be that person while her opponent has proven that out-of-state, non-Alaskan matters are more important to her. |
