I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you need to know this: 

Right now we're projecting to come up short of our October fundraising goals.

Coming up short at this point in the election could have a catastrophic impact on our ability to win this race. I don't mean to alarm you, but that's the truth. 

A CNN poll that just came out shows me trailing Ron Johnson by one point, and his dark-money groups are pouring absurd amounts of money into Wisconsin to try to buy this seat. 

The only thing standing in their way is this grassroots team. That's why I really need you to chip in today, so I'm asking: 

Can you please make a split contribution of $5 to Sen. Tom Carper and my campaign before midnight tonight? I am really hoping I can count on you today.

Ron Johnson is the single most vulnerable Republican in the entire Senate. But the only way we’ll flip Wisconsin blue and send him packing is if we’re in this together.
