Team,
There are just five days left until Election Day – and in one of the most competitive districts in the country, we’re making each of those five days count. Here’s an update on where we stand:
Recently, the Detroit News confirmed that there are four seats in Michigan that Republicans view as critical to flipping the House – and the new 7th district is one of them.
We’ve known since the beginning that this district was a top target. It continues to be the most expensive House race in the country with over $12 million spent on negative ads against Elissa as we head into the final five days of the campaign.
With so much at stake, we’ve been taking out all the stops. Earlier this week, Congresswoman Liz Cheney joined Elissa for an “Evening for Patriotism and Bipartisanship. A crowd of 600 joined us to discuss the moment we’re in as a country, and how engaged citizenship and principled leaders can bring us out of it.
In reaction, Elissa’s opponent rushed to get Harriet Hageman, an election denier, and Tulsi Gabbard, a Putin apologist, to endorse him. He then repeated his case to former VP Pence, who is coming in for a rally with him tomorrow.
So what are we doing with 5 days to go? Our field team is out in the new 7th district in full force. We have 8 staging locations to give our volunteers the materials they need to get out on the doors. We’ll be hosting huge events to excite voters and drive turnout. And of course, our MSU student organizers will be spending the next 5 days talking to as many students as they physically can.
We’re still expecting this to be an extremely close race, which means we’ll be working day and night for the next five days to get over the finish line – and we’re asking if you’ll help us out. Chip in below to help us continue to run TV and digital ads and connect with voters for the next five days!
