Election Day 2022 is finally here, friends! Today is a HUGE day for our team here at Barrier To Entry PAC and for the people we support.
Since we began this work in April of 2021, we have been working diligently towards this very day, ensuring that working-class candidates have the resources they need to run and win. We will keep you updated on the results as they come in — but first, we want to tell you what we have accomplished with your help and yes, to make a final ask for support.
This cycle, we have elected Mayor Peter Schwartzmann in Galesburg, IL; Mayor Ed Gainey in Pittsburgh, PA; Commissioner Shenise Turner-Sloss in Dayton, OH; District Leader Shaquana Boykin in Brooklyn, NY; and supported over a dozen other candidates, interns, and staff across the country along the way. We truly mean it when we say that none of this would be possible without you, and we’re so grateful to have had you alongside us in this fight.
We have made huge strides, no doubt — but the work isn’t over — and our candidates and their teams are still a few miles from the finish line. They’ll be out at the polls today, continuing to talk to voters, knocking doors, making fundraising calls to pay staff, buying coffee and pizza for volunteers, funding ads, and more. We are less than 24 hours away from the polls closing this evening, which is a critical window for us.
We could not have made it this far without you, friends, and as we kick off our biggest day of 2022, we need to know you’re still with us in this fight until the end.
