We were ahead the entire night until the last batch of votes and now we are down exactly 2,000 votes or close to two percent.
The good news is that there is still 7,500 ballots left to count. These are early voting ballots returned on the day of the election, provisional ballots, and "resolution" (damaged ballots) ballots.
Some of these results will trickle in over the next week but all of the counting will be done by next Friday the 18th when the provisional ballots are completed.
Once these ballots are counted we will of course accept and respect the results whatever they may be, but as long as there is still a viable path to victory, we want to ensure all the votes are counted.
Regardless of what the outcome may be I want to thank you for all of your incredible support and encouragement. I am very proud of the race we ran and we did it under enormous opposition.
