Last Saturday, former President Donald Trump claimed that “A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.”

Yes, friend, you read that correctly. He is suggesting that the Constitution be terminated. And he is still attempting to overturn the 2020 election.

And so far, one of the only Republican Senators who have condemned this attack on our Constitution — and who will be in the next Congress to put a check on extremism — is Alaska’s own Lisa Murkowski.

This much is clear: Former President Donald Trump is too extreme for our country.

The blatant, anti-democratic sentiments held by the former president have no place in our nation.

When our democracy is threatened, it’s critical that we show up to protect it. That means amplifying the voices of those in power, like Lisa Murkowski, who will uphold the sanctity of our elections. It is especially meaningful and important that she is a member of his party. It shows that standing up to Trump is not partisanship — it’s standing up for our democracy.
