Now that last month’s race was certified, we’re seeing some final data on turnout in MI-07 and wanted to share.

First is a reminder of Elissa’s win margin (the biggest yet!) thanks to this graphic shared on Twitter, courtesy of the New York Times: 

That data also highlights the strong turnout in Michigan. In fact, our state set a new record with about 4.5 million Michiganders voting, which Secretary Benson confirmed is the state's highest turnout ever in a midterm.

That high turnout was because both parties and Independents came out, which was likely driven in part by Prop 3 on the ballot.

Here’s some additional data we love: According to one of our favorite Michigan political accounts, MI-07 ranked among the top five congressional districts with the highest turnout in the country! And five of Michigan’s districts ranked among the country’s top 10:

It’s clear Michiganders were motivated to make their voices heard last month.
