And at the federal level, Republicans introduced an even more extreme version of Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
Anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and rhetoric are directly linked with violence, John.
According to the Human Rights Campaign, last year broke the record for the “number of violent fatal incidents against trans people." And as we saw with the horrific Colorado nightclub shooting, LGBTQ+ places are no longer safe.
