We have spent more than 10 months researching, writing, editing and editing and editing the New Jersey Civics Handbook. It’s a team of 23 dedicated people, including our Student Advisory Board, who have made this happen. And while the initiative has always been to print and mail these directly to teens, there’s been a lot of interest from individuals and organizations to buy these from us.

However, as a nonpartisan 501(c)3 charity, we are not selling these handbooks this year. That would involve tax, sales permits, accounting, reporting and administration that would be required by our 501c3 tax status that we do not have the capacity to do. We want to focus on raising funds to get these in the hands of registered teens who will be qualified to vote in their first election in November 2023.

But, in furtherance of the mission of our organization — to educate, engage, and empower New Jerseyans to be active citizens participating fully in our vibrant democracy — we will have a Gift with Donation limited time offer with our First Edition printing❗
