Dear Team,

We’ve been laying low the last several weeks as we recuperate from a long election cycle, and we’ve been giving our team time to rest for the holidays. As we reflect on the many achievements of the year, we can’t help but feel sentimental.

This isn’t your average Democratic PAC. We’re a small scrappy organization, run by five young women — women of color, queer women, progressive women. And much like the candidates we support, we don’t come from political advantages to boost our movement. But don’t let our size or lack of pedigree fool you.

In the 2022 cycle, we rallied, we mobilized, and we built a solid grassroots coalition from the ground up. We disbursed over $80,000 dollars to our candidates and their campaigns, all thanks to the money we raised from everyday people like YOU who believe in our mission. With your donations, we endorsed 14 candidates and won 6 elections — all within our very first year of inception.

Our B/E candidates aren’t your average Democrats either. We know that continuing to elect out-of-touch leaders just because they have the money to run impressive, flashy campaigns is only going to continue giving us the same status quo results. That’s why we only support the boldest, pro-choice, progressive candidates that we believe in.

If we’re going to see meaningful progress, we need to elect real working-class people to represent the working class.

That’s why we’re beyond proud of every single race we’ve fought in regardless of outcome. Because with every election that we’ve helped our low-income, working-class candidates run in, we are breaking down the barriers in a system designed to keep them behind — in favor of those more wealthy and more powerful.

We are just getting started, and none of this impactful work would be possible without you. You are absolutely critical to our movement. We firmly believe that your money goes so much further with B/E than any other PAC, and we are beyond grateful to have you in this fight with us.
