Prayer Workshop and ECON
The 2023 Prayer Leaders Workshop ([link removed]) will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023, beginning at 9:30 a.m. preceding the Evangelism Conference. This workshop will be led by Gordon Fort and is for those who lead out in prayer in their family, church, and community.
On Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning, January 23 and 24, at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, hundreds of Arkansas Baptist church leaders will gather for the Evangelism Conference (ECON). Speakers will be Dr. Robert Smith Jr., Ed Newton, Greg Stier, Jeremy and Caleb Freeman, and Gordon Fort.
There will be lunch workshops on Tuesday at the conclusion of the conference for pastors, ministers’ wives, worship leaders, student pastors, and preschool/children’s ministers. The lunch workshops are free, but please register at absc.org/econ ([link removed]) for the purpose of meal preparation.

Delta Vision Tour
Held January 30–31, the Vision Tour will give you opportunities to explore:
* Long-term partnerships with new and established works
* Opportunities for short-term missions trips (spring break, summer, and weekend); and
* The need for coaching partnerships with church planters.

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday
The June 2022 decision of the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade did not end the fight for life. As Arkansas Baptists, we remain committed to the sanctity of human life and encourage each church and individual to discover how he/she can champion life. Equip: SMC
EQUIP:SMC23 will be held Saturday, February 4, at Williams Baptist University and is designed specifically with smaller membership church (SMC) leaders in mind. Whether full-time, bi-vocational, or volunteer, SMC ministry has many unique and challenging demands. This conference aims to further equip and encourage those serving in SMC ministry. Women's Ministry Network Gatherings
Arkansas Baptists Women’s Ministry Networks offer an opportunity for leaders to gather in regional groups to share ideas, discuss strategy, and get to know one another. The goal is to help grow a strong network of leaders who offer friendship and serve as a resource and encouragement to one another.
Our first gathering will be Thursday, February 9, 6:30–8:00 p.m.

Youth Minister Roundtable
On Thursday, February 9, Shane Pruitt will be speaking at Ouachita Baptist University's chapel service and leading a Youth Minister Roundtable. You are invited to attend both the chapel service and the Youth Minister Roundtable. The roundtable will be a great time of refining our focus and deepening our passion in ministry to the next generation. Lunch is free, but please register.

Lead>Defend + Foundations
Held Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, the Lead>Defend Conference is designed to equip this next generation of leaders to develop and defend their faith. Lead>Defend is for high school/college students and young adults, while Lead>Defend Foundations is for middle school/junior high and will feature powerful times of worship, fun breaks, and practical breakout sessions led by key leaders from around Arkansas. Early-bird registration ends February 20.

Global Hunger Relief Sunday
Around the world, as many as 811 million people—1 out of 9—still go to bed on an empty stomach each night. This worldwide problem has an impact in Arkansas as well. One in five Arkansans struggle to provide enough food for their family. ABSC churches are encouraged to schedule Sunday, February 12, 2023, to promote the hunger ministries of Arkansas Baptists and Send Relief and to collect the annual Global Hunger Relief Offering. Critical Incident Stress Management
The Arkansas Baptist State Convention is offering Critical Incident Stress Management classes. Registrants choose one of two offerings: Emotional and Spiritual Care in Disasters or Assisting Individuals in Crisis. The dates are February 17–18, Friday and Saturday. Registrants must attend all hours, both days, to get a certificate. The registration deadline is Sunday, January 20, 2023. The cost is $60 for members of ABSC churches, $105 for others. Registration is required.

Super Summer
Registration opens February 1. Super Summer Arkansas is a camp sponsored by the Arkansas Baptist State Convention with funding provided by the Cooperative Program. Super Summer Arkansas takes place each summer on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. It is split into two camps: Super Summer JV, serving campers who have completed 6th–8th grades, and Super Summer, serving campers who have completed 9th–12th grades. Both camps have adult leaders who attend one or both camps as adult chaperones.
