The Texas GOP has already introduced over 36 bills that target the LGBTQ+ community.

These bills include a Texas version of Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law, bans on gender-affirming care, and restrictions on drag shows.

Just weeks into 2023, the Texas GOP has already introduced THREE DOZEN bills that attack LGBTQ+ folks.

Republicans want to BAN gender-affirming care for children, BAN classroom lessons on LGBTQ+ issues, and REGULATE drag shows.

These bills will have a devastating impact if they become law. According to a 2021 survey from The Trevor Project, “young LGBTQ people in southern states including Texas are more likely to consider and attempt suicide than those in other parts of the country.”
