After just a few weeks in power, the GOP has proven once again just how dangerous and dysfunctional their party has become. It took them 15 ballots to elect a House Speaker – and Kevin McCarthy was forced to make alarming concessions to the most extreme members of his caucus, completely undercutting his authority to lead the party.

Now, they're pushing a ridiculous tax plan that would send us back to the 1800s, abolishing the IRS, giving the wealthiest a free pass to cheat on their taxes, and forcing American families to pick up the tab. 

Thankfully, our Senate majority stands united, ready to stop House Republicans' far-right agenda and keep on moving our country forward. But if Mitch McConnell and his megadonors succeed in taking back the Senate majority in 2024, the GOP could have free rein to force their out-of-touch ideologies on all Americans.

We can only stop them with early, strong support from key grassroots supporters like you, John. That's why this membership is so important.
