Dear Friend,

We are excited to announce our first general membership meeting of the new year! We'll be hearing from Oakland teachers as they gear up for a possible strike and voting on how our chapter works with unions. Plus, as usual, there will be food and coffee, and a chance to spend time with comrades new and old. Sign up to join us! <[link removed]>

What: General Membership Meeting

Where: Omni Commons, 4799 Shattuck Ave., Oakland, CA 94609 (and Zoom)

When: 11am-1pm, Sunday, Feb. 26

RSVP: Here! <[link removed]>

We encourage everyone to join in person, but there will be a Zoom option if you can't!?DSA is a democratic, member-run organization, which means that any five chapter members can introduce a resolution for the chapter to vote on at a membership meeting. If you would like to submit a resolution (or other agenda item) for the February 26 meeting, please send it to [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> by next Wednesday, February 15. If you would like more information on how to write a resolution, you can take a look at the guide on our resources page <[link removed]> or email [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>.

Sign up to join us at the general membership meeting. <[link removed]>? Whether it's your first meeting or your thirty-first meeting, you won't want to miss it!

In solidarity,

Your East Bay DSA Steering Committee

P.S. This month's regular membership meeting was originally scheduled for February 12, but was rescheduled to February 26 in order to avoid taking place on the same day as a sports event.
