I have exciting details to share with you.
Governor Carney released his FY 2024 budget proposal, and it is a great start to building for today and tomorrow. We're working hard to ensure this budget gets implemented. But as Treasurer, I'm going to be working even harder to ensure we don't miss anything needed to create a better financial future for Delawareans.
Here are some of the most important items:1️⃣ Funding Delaware EARNS Act to provide a secure choice retirement program to tens of thousands of Delawareans who do not have the benefit of an employer sponsored program.2️⃣ Powering a stronger financial future for state employees by establishing a $15 minimum wage to full time employees, and providing our teachers a historic 9% pay raise.3️⃣ Investing a record more than $100 MILLION in affordable housing initiatives.
