It matters that we have representation in schools for queer youth. Studies have shown that as suicide rates remained high for LGBTQ+ students, being in a welcoming environment helps tremendously.

We must stand up against far-right extremists who want to use LGBTQ+ kids as part of their culture war. It’s disgusting and downright wrong.

From state legislatures to school boards, far-right Republicans have gone on the attack against LGBTQ+ kids. We can’t just sit back — we need to step up!
