Durham For All City Budget Sessions

Join Durham for All's Budget Talk #1 to get inspired and motivated through building common cause with people from all walks of life!

The city budget is a crucial way our communities can get the care, justice, and security Durhamites need to thrive regardless of job status, race, gender, or faith.

On Thursday, March 30th meet like minded Durham residents, ask questions and make suggestions to City council members Jillian Johnson and Javiera Caballero about this year’s city budget and be a part of the multiracial movement to improve Durham communities for the better. Additionally, we will provide food and fun from 5p-6p while getting to know each other.

Just like our work on elections, we know that the changes our communities need and deserve won’t happen by working on just one budget cycle. Join us in building community power that will lead to transformation of our great city.

PA Supports comprehensive funding for H.E.A.R.T.

The People's Alliance Board of Directors has endorsed full funding of the innovative H.E.A.R.T. program in this year's City budget. Every Durham resident should have the option of accessing H.E.A.R.T. across zip codes and for a wide range of situations. Operating with insufficient resources and within limited geographic bounds would make it challenging for H.E.A.R.T. to spread the word or respond to all who need support.
