News from El Dorado County Democrats   Calendar Donate   March 2, 2023 Newsletter   Our first 2023 fundraiser, Democrats After Dark, was a huge success! The EDC DCC Fundraising & Events Committe along with the Democratic Women of El Dorado County (DWEDC) organized an amazing SOLD OUT event that raised over $8k for EDC Democrats. A special thank you to Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil for being our key speaker. And to Drs Margaret Fortune and Anette Melvin for opening up their beautiful home and welcoming us all for this event.         Student Essay Contest Fundraiser   The United Democrats are once again fundraising in support of the Fred Winn Student Essay Contest. This year, juniors and seniors from El Dorado County public high schools will explore the topic of Bullying. In a luncheon on April 1st, awards of over $2750 will be presented to the winners.
