John, I know 2024 seems far off, but the race for control of the Senate is well underway. New reporting reveals that Republican leaders are already fundraising to defeat Democrats in key states like Ohio and Montana.

And we know that this is going to be a tough election cycle. With 23 Democrats playing defense, and very few opportunities to flip states blue, we're up against even stiffer odds than we were in 2022. That's why election experts at FiveThirtyEight and The Washington Post are already sounding the alarms for Democrats.

Republicans know that Democrats are up against a tough Senate map. They know that they only need to flip two seats to take back the majority. And you can bet that they are going to do everything they can to retake power and push their far-right agenda.

With an army of megadonors lining up behind the GOP's extremist candidates, Democrats have to start seriously fundraising right now if we want any chance of saving our Senate majority. So please, John, will you donate $5 before midnight tonight so that we can stay on track to defend our majority from GOP extremists? I'm counting on strong Democratic supporters like you to make early investments so we can build a winning team.
