When citizens think our government works for big business and the wealthy instead of normal families, it’s a threat to our democracy.

In Congress, Elissa has worked on changing that — both in legislation, but also in how she conducts her own campaign: She’s fought for legislation to ban corporate PACs altogether, to block members of Congress from trading stocks, and to require members to disclose any cryptocurrency holdings.

Voters need to know that their elected leaders are working on their behalf, not looking to enrich themselves or cater to special interests. Cleaning up politics will continue to be a top priority for Elissa in the Senate, and we are proud to have ECU’s support along the way.
